Paul Kleinschmidt, MD
Dr. Paul Kleinschmidt is the founding Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He joined Cape Fear Valley in May of 2015 and currently is a full-time clinical faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kleinschmidt is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine, Methodist University in Fayetteville, Drexel University and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Kleinschmidt is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He also has served as a faculty member for the oral board review course taught by AAEM for the last 20 years.
Anthony Grello, DO
Dr. Anthony Grello is the Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and the Physician Director for Simulation at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He is also an Assistant Professor for Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine and Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine.These are exciting times for Cape Fear Valley, and Dr. Grello looks forward with excitement to the opportunity of training and retaining quality physicians to the Cape Fear region.
Joseph Klembczyk, MD
Dr. Joseph Klembczyk is an Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He began working as a staff physician in the Cape Fear Valley Emergency Department in 2019, and joined the core faculty of the residency program in January of 2020. He was named an Associate Program Director for the program in summer 2021. He has a passion for education in EM, and completed the American College of Emergency Physicians Teaching Fellowship from 2021-2022. Dr. Klembczyk has also served as chair of the Emergency Medicine Departmental Provider Improvement Committee since 2021. Dr. Klembczyk is confident that Cape Fear Valley is one of the best places to train in Emergency Medicine and will continue to contribute to this amazing program and community as it grows.
