He is one of only a handful of combined Adult & Pediatric Critical Care Trained Physicians practicing both specialties nationally. He did his combined Med-Peds training at East Carolina University/Brody School of Medicine (Greenville NC) before going onto to complete both his Adult & Pediatric Critical Care fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center & The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He is passionate about medical education and beyond his frequent didactic teaching at the bedside and in the classroom; he spends a significant portion of his time educating our residents with High Fidelity Simulation. He also frequently publishes high quality adult & pediatric articles through Free Open Access Medical Education (FOAMed) where he serves as an Associate Editor & Author for www.rebelem.com.
