Leadership Institute

Cape Fear Valley is committed to providing professional development opportunities for all employees.The Leadership Institute is the umbrella in which all development opportunities live. Email T&D@capefearvalley.com with questions.

Development of current and future leaders is an important focus at Cape Fear Valley. Each year, 50 employees are selected to participate in the Leadership Academy.This nine month program provides opportunities to grow in leading self, leading others and leading organizations.

All new leaders are provided an onboarding program. Within their first 30 days, participants will complete an 8 hour Nuts and Bolts class. The focus of the day is to provide information that a new leader needs to know to begin to successfully navigating the system and their new role. This course is automatically assigned in Workday.

Within their first six months, new leaders must complete DiSC Workplace, Situational Leadership, Unconscious Bias and Patients+Us. These in-person classes are offered every quarter and available for enrollment in Workday.

 

Operational Training

Every quarter, operational training will be available for current and future leaders to complete. Classes may be virtual or in-person. The topics include:

·Employee Relations and the Progressive Discipline Process

·Behavioral Interviewing

·From Requisition to Start Date: Navigating the Process

·ADA

·Finance 101

·Emergency Management
