Cody O’Rear, DO

After graduating from medical school in 2020, Dr. Cody O’Rear joined the house staff at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center as a transitional intern.  At the completion of his intern year, Dr. O’Rear stayed at Cape Fear to complete his internal medicine training as well.  After completing residency, Dr. O’Rear stayed on as a 4th year chief resident for the internal medicine program and worked as a hospitalist for a year before joining the Cape Fear Valley pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship where he currently serves as chief fellow.

Dr. O’Rear ultimately plans to pursue a career in academic medicine, combining his passion for medicine and treating patients with his passion for teaching and education.
