Overview
Hospice care is designed to focus on pain management and comfort measures for patients in the last phases of life. Nurses work with an interdisciplinary team to meet patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs with dignity through the natural process of dying.
Candidates
One year of nursing is preferred. New graduate nurses welcome. Additional training provided for hospice care. BLS required (course sponsored by CFVH). Academic Advancement, specialty certification, and Clinical Ladder participation are encouraged.
