At Cape Fear Valley Health, we offer the latest, comprehensive behavioral health services for ages 3 to adult in an outpatient setting. You or your loved one will receive quality care in a safe and supporting environment. Using the principles of recovery, we support individuals in taking an active role in their treatment.
Outpatient Versus Inpatient Care
An outpatient program differs from an inpatient program in a few aspects. Inpatient programs encompass 24 hours a day supervision and support. Patients with certain mental health conditions benefit from this level of care. Once their health has stabilized, they can transition to an appropriate outpatient setting.
For outpatient care, patients return home in the evening, and do not stay overnight in the hospital. The treatment schedule ranges from one to two hours.
