If your face shows signs of aging, dermal fillers offer a minimally invasive and effective solution.
What are Dermal Fillers?

What to Expect With a Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers take an hour. It’s a painless treatment, so you won’t need anesthesia. You’ll be able to go home after the procedure.
First, your plastic surgeon will mark the injection sites on your face and apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area.
When the injections are complete, your plastic surgeon will wash off the marks. You can use an ice pack to alleviate any temporary discomfort. You may wear makeup after the procedure but avoid putting pressure on the injection sites.
There are various types of dermal fillers, some used in combination with other treatments. Your plastic surgeon will determine the best option for you.
- Botox: Although not a filler, this injection relaxes muscles responsible for wrinkles and is mostly used on the forehead and between the eyebrows to smooth lines.
- Collagen: This major skin protein, often damaged by sun exposure, can be injected to improve skin texture and create a youthful appearance.
- Hyaluronic acids: Naturally in the body, these acids give skin its volume. They can be replaced to make them look fuller.
