Overview
Infusion clinic nurses administer intravenous fluids for hydration therapy, transfusion blood products and administer intravenous medications and nutrition therapy per a provider’s order/protocol. Infusion clinic nurses are adept at accessing port and central venous catheters, drawing blood and starting peripheral intravenous catheters.

Candidates
One year of nursing experience and strong IV therapy skills preferred. Additional training for infusion orders/protocols provided. BLS and ACLS required per unit (courses provided by CFVHS). Professional growth through academic advancement, specialty certification, and Clinical Ladder participation are encouraged.
