Cape Fear Valley Health System Terms and Conditions for Hello World
When you sign up for text messages from Cape Fear Valley Health System, you are signing up to receive text messages related to your relationship with Cape Fear Valley Health System. These messages may include:
- Short Code Primary 74829:
- updates or requests related to your visits
- information related to your MyChart account
- a one-time passcode
- prescription reminders
- Other messages related to care management or your relationship with Cape Fear Valley and Affiliated Clinics
- Short Code Billing 73879:
- billing notifications
You can opt-out of SMS messages by texting STOP to respective short code. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the short code you opted out from. If you want to join again, sign up using MyChart at Cape Fear Valley Health or text HELP to the short code for instructions.

How to Enroll in Cape Fear Valley Health text messaging from MyChart.
- MyChart, from the Menu navigate to Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
- Click the Subscribe button under the Text Message section.
- Toggle On, Message subscription.

How to update/verify communication preferences in MyChart.
- In MyChart, from the Menu navigate to Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
- In the General section, verify notifications from Bozeman Health are toggled on for your preferred method(s) of contact. (Email, Text, Phone, or Mail)
- To review which notifications will be delivered via a specific method of contact, expand the communication concept type(s) grouped under the Details section of this screen.
- For example: Appointments, Messages, Health, and Billing are each their own communication concept type. You can decide which method of contact is used for each communication scenario within a grouped communication type.
- Within the communication type expanded, select Advanced settings to review and update how you receive specific notifications within the grouped concept type.
For Example:
- Within the expanded Appointments communication concept, you can choose to receive After Visit Summaries by either email, text or both. You can also choose to receive Appointment Confirmations via email, text, phone, or all three. If you only want to receive a certain communication via one communication method make sure your preferred method is the only one togged on.
- When finished with your preferences, select Save changes.

- In MyChart, from the Menu select Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
- Select Manage your subscription.
- Toggle Off, Message subscription.
- Select Manage your subscription.

- You may also reply STOP via text message to '74829' to cease all recurring automated text messages.
