About Mena M. Samaan, MD

Dr. Mena M. Samaan is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in vascular neurology (stroke) and endovascular neurointerventional surgery. He currently practices at the Cape Fear Valley, where he provides advanced, minimally invasive care for complex cerebrovascular conditions such as stroke, aneurysms, AVMs, and carotid artery disease.

 

Dr. Samaan completed his medical degree at Alexandria University in Egypt, graduating Summa Cum Laude from one of the Middle East’s most distinguished medical institutions. He trained in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his Neurology residency at Hackensack Meridian’s JFK University Medical Center. Driven by a passion for stroke and cerebrovascular disorders, he pursued dual fellowships at Westchester Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, focusing on stroke and endovascular neurosurgery.

 

Dr. Samaan performs a range of procedures, including cerebral and spinal angiography, aneurysm coiling, stroke intervention, and AVM embolization. Dr. Samaan is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care with a focus on innovation, precision, and improved patient outcomes.
