About Kenneth Locklear, MD

Dr. Kenneth Locklear graduated from the UNC School of Medicine in 1979. Since completing his residency at Moses Cone Hospital in 1982, he has been providing Family Practice services in Red Springs.

Dr. Locklear has practiced in the Cardiac Stress Lab, served as Medical Director for local Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities, served as an Associate Professor for UNC Chapel Hill, served on the Robeson County Board of Health, and currently serves as Medical Director for Liberty Hospice. Dr. Locklear is certified through the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine.

Dr. Locklear enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He has also appreciated the opportunity to be an active member of a medical mission team that provides healthcare to Philippine villages since 2007.

While Dr. Locklear has received various acknowledgements and awards over the years, his greatest source of pride has been the privilege of providing medical care to the people of Robeson and surrounding counties.
