Chozen Amir Worthy was the first boy baby born at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in 2025.

The new year’s first babies are here! Amelia Autumn Winston was the first girl baby and Chozen Amir Worthy was the first boy baby born at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in 2025.

Amelia is the daughter of Kathrine Teets and Ayden Winston of Stedman. She was born at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Amelia weighed 5 lbs. 14 oz and was 21.65 inches long. Her grandparents are Jamie and Bruce Jr. Teets of Stedman, and Brenda Boykin from Hamlet.

Chozen is the son of Dajah Nealy and Curtis Worthy of Spring Lake. He was born at 6:19 a.m. on Jan. 1. Chozen weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz and was 18.1 inches long. His grandparents are Mary and Alford Dudley of Orrum, and Sarah Nealy of Fayetteville.

The babies each received a gift basket donated by The Magnolia Gift Shoppe and a commemorative onesie, compliments of Carolina Specialties and Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation.
