Baby girl Amelia Autumn Winston was the first baby of 2025 born at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Amelia is the daughter of Kathrine Teets and Ayden Winston of Stedman. She was born at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Amelia weighed 5 lb. 14 oz and was 21.65 inches long. The baby’s grandparents are Jamie and Bruce Jr. Teets of Stedman, and Brenda Boykin from Hamlet.

The baby received a gift basket donated by The Magnolia Gift Shoppe and a commemorative onesie, compliments of Carolina Specialties and Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation.
