Welcome to Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital’s radiology department. We make sure that your provider has the diagnostic imaging they need to provide you with an accurate diagnosis.
The types of imaging we offer at this location are:
X-rays
X-rays are the most commonly used type of medical imaging. They can be used to detect broken bones, infections or foreign objects in soft tissue.
Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy is like continuous X-ray imaging. Doctors can use it to track an object (such as a dye or contrast agent) through the body.
Computed tomography (CT)
A CT scan is an imaging test that creates detailed images of internal organs, bones, soft tissue and blood vessels. Doctors can use them to create 3D images that can be viewed on a monitor.
Ultrasound
During an ultrasound, sound waves are used to produce pictures of your body’s internal structures. It can often provide a picture of some types of tissue that don’t show up well on X-rays.
