High energy, quick thinking and excellent assessment skills are what we look for in the nurses who join our Level 3 Trauma Center and Emergency Department. This dynamic division, along with the Pediatric Emergency Department treats more than 130,000 patients annually. These impressive figures designate our ED as the busiest in the state! In addition to an intensive clinical orientation, all nurses must complete training in ACLS, PALS, TNCC and several other programs that are unique to the emergency nursing environment. Certification is encouraged as well as participation in the Clinical Ladder program. The Clinical Ladder program helps to foster personal and professional development with a financial reward for obtaining and maintaining Clinical Ladder II, III, or IV status.
For those who prefer a different pace, Cape Fear Valley Health is home to 2 Express Cares. The Express Cares provide non-emergency care and are located at Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital and the Health Pavilion North campus.
Candidates: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Acute Inpatient Care and/or stepdown care experience. If a new nursing graduate applies for an position and if chosen must completed the ED Residency program.
