Comprehensive Services
The following is a list of the comprehensive services offered by the various divisions of Behavioral Health Services at Cape Fear Valley:
Out Patient Services
- Community Mental Health Center and Behavioral Health Care Provide the following outpatient services:
- Therapy to include CBT, DBT, EMDR, group and family therapy and many more.
- Qualified LCSW, LCAS and LPC professionals
- Psychiatric medication management to include Suboxone, Clozaril and an injection clinic.
- Board certified Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Prescription Assistance Program for patients who qualify
- Psychological testing by board certified Psychologists and Psychology Associates
- Services provided for patients age 3 to adult
Sleep Center Services
- Board certified internist physician who specializes in sleep medicine provides evaluation and testing recommendations based on patient needs
- The sleep lab is utilized at Cape Fear Valley Main Campus and Bladen County Hospital to perform a variety of sleep tests
- After evaluation the sleep center staff assist with any DME needs or DBTI counseling for sleep disturbances
Crisis Evaluation Services
- Available 24/7
- Registered Nurses, social workers and other qualified professionals available to assist with patient needs and provide a patient discharge plan
- Services available to patients 18 and above that are Cumberland County Residents.
Emergency Psychiatric Care
- The emergency room at Cape Fear Valley has a psychiatric wing that is designed for the safety and well-being of psychiatric patients in crisis.
- After evaluation by the physician, case managers assist patients with appropriate after care planning.
In-Patient Services
- Low patient to staff ratios and a strong a strong approach to safety are of the utmost importance on the In-patient unit.
- Patients on this unit are provided intense treatment for severe mental health disorders.
- Upon discharge from this unit patients work closely with the case manager to ensure follow up care is provided within seven days of discharge.
